Prior Lake High School boys basketball program FAQ

Description of sport: Competitive boys basketball consisting of 5 teams partcipating in the South Suburban Conference: Varsity, Junior Varsity, Sophomore/B Squad, and two 9th grade teams. 

Season commitment: Grades 9-12 tryouts begin November 17 with practices beginning daily immediately after teams are formed. Practice five to six days per week with one to three games per week beginning in December and ending early to mid March. 

Tryout Dates

Freshman Tryouts: November 17th-19th – 5:30-7:30 pm

Sophomore Tryouts: November 17th-18th 6-7:30 am, 3:30-5:30pm  

Varsity/JV Tryouts: November 17th-18th 6-7:30 am, 3:30-5:30 pm

Eligibility requirements: Students in grades 9-12 who meet MSHSL and Prior Lake School District Eligibility Requirements.

Tryouts/Cuts: Yes 

Costs and/or needed equipment: Participation fee set by the school.
